Mission / Purpose
To act as a platform for the civil society for promotion of sustainable and equitable development. To build the capacity of Civil Society Organizations through Networking, Service Provider Research & Advocacy, Implementation Support and Consultancy Efforts to expedite the effectiveness of development of the rural poor.
Our journey
Anti Illegal Human Trafficking Project
Our Institute tried to stop human kidnapping in Miraj taluka, particularly kidnapping of women, young girls and children who were brutally made ready for prostitution. We think it is a very important contribution to protect the society from unethical, inhuman practices.
Skill Development Project
Through the NABARD sponsored Skill Development Project we successfully trained 100 women in Malgaon and nearby villages by providing garment training. We did not stop after giving training – we approached the branch of Bank of India and succeeded in making loans available to purchase sewing machines. It is a matter of honor that most of the trained women are self employed and presently self reliant.
Consulting Center, Sayhadrinagar
It is a known factor that Sangli is one of the most sensitive districts in HIV-AIDS after Mumbai. Considering this acute problem Aadhar started a Consulting Center in Sayhadrinagar, Sangli for HIV affected people. Expert doctors consulted the patients.
TB awareness with CHAI
CHAI is one of the leading agencies engaged in creating awareness about TB among the people. Under CHAI, we undertook a health project for creating awareness about TB in the rural area of Miraj tehsil. Our institute has organised slide show programs, poster presentations, awareness meetings, household/family surveys, morning rallies with students and tested the sputum samples of concerned persons.
