Aadhar Projects Welfare Society, Sangli was established in 2003. Since its inception, it has been working in the rural area particularly in the field of agriculture, health, education, women empowerment etc.  Due to continuous and hard efforts in respective of Social Work, our institute is considered one of the best NGO’s in the Sangli district. In order to tackle the rural problems and overall development of common people in the Rural Areas, our institution has carried out various types of projects i.e. Continuous Education Center, Computer Training Center, Public Library.

We have also completed some projects collaboration with Government and Semi-Government agencies. Along-with our routine work we have established 60 Men and Women Self Help Groups (Bachat Gats) in 8 nearby villages.  From 2009 to 2013, Under Anti Illegal Human Trafficking Project, Our Institute has tried to stop human kidnapping in Miraj taluka particularly kidnapping  of women, young girls, children and brutally make them ready for prostitute. We think it is very important contribution to protect the society from unethical, inhuman practices.

Considering the basic objective of Women Empowerment, through NABARD sponsored Skill Development Project we successfully tried to train 100 women in Malgaon and nearby villages by providing garment training. We not stopped after giving training but after that approaching the branch of Bank of India succeed to mad available loans to purchase sewing machines.  It is the matter of honor that most of the trained women are self employed and presently self reliant.

It is known factor that Sangli is one of the most sensitive district in HIV-AIDS after Mumbai. Considering this acute problem Aadhar has started Consulting Center in Sayhadrinagar, Sangli for HIV affected people. Appointing Expert Doctors consulted the patients.  Everybody knows that CHAI is one of the leading agencies which is engaged in creating awareness about TB among the people. Under CHAI, we got an opportunity to undertake a health project for creating awareness about TB in the rural area of Miraj tehsil.  Since 2013, to create awareness about TB, our institute has organised various types of programs in slum areas, backward class areas, in the group of daily wages workers. For this we have organised slide show programs, Poster Presentations, awareness meetings, household/family surveys, morning rally with students and tested the split samples of concerned.
